The Rapides Foundation is accepting proposals under its Diet and Physical Activity Community Program.
Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, has posted its Spring 2011 Training Calendar. In addition to onsite workshops, CDW now offers a host of webinar trainings this year. All workshops and webinars are available free of charge to any Central Louisiana resident.
The Rapides Foundation has released a new report, "Beyond High School: What will it take to build Cenla's next workforce?"
The cameras will be rolling for some lucky high school students in Central Louisiana. The Rapides Foundation is looking for one team from each high school in Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon and Winn parishes to create a video on the importance of healthy eating and physical activity. The winning team will work with media professionals to turn their original concept into a 30-second television commercial that will be aired on local TV and YouTube as part of the Foundation’s Diet and Physical Activity Initiative.
