The Rapides Foundation’s Annual Report is now available. For the 2013 Annual Report, the Foundation interviewed Central Louisiana residents about how they are making a difference in their communities through their partnerships and affiliations with The Rapides Foundation.
Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, is offering skill-building training for Cenla residents and nonprofits. All workshops and webinars are available free of charge. Webinars are only one hour long from 11 a.m.-noon and can be accessed from most devices using the GoToWebinar app. Workshops take place at The Rapides Foundation Building, 1101 Fourth St., Alexandria.
The Rapides Foundation is announcing its Healthy Places Program, a process to connect community leaders to resources and expert technical assistance to create a community plan to support healthy lifestyles. The Foundation will hold an informational webinar on Tuesday, August 5, at 2:00 p.m., to allow interested community members to fully understand the new program. The webinar is for anyone interested in the Program, even if you did not attend the Information Sessions held in July.

The Rapides Foundation’s 2012 Annual Report is available online and in print. The Foundation is again presenting the report two ways to appeal to a wider audience. “In addition to our traditional print version, our online element allows us to tell our story using videos, photos and graphics,” President and CEO Joe Rosier said.
