Featured speaker: Malcolm Mitchell

Join us on September 1 at 3:30 p.m. for The Rapides Foundation Symposium, an annual gathering around a topic of importance. The focus of the Symposium is Early Childhood Literacy and will feature Malcolm Mitchell, Super Bowl Champion, Author, and Founder/CEO of Share the Magic Foundation. 

Malcolm's presentation, Read to a Better Future, focuses on the transformational power of reading through his personal story and literacy-based research. Central to his message is self-empowerment, cultural relevancy, and reading as a super power. 

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Event participants can attend in person at the Randolph Riverfront Center in downtown Alexandria, or attend online through the Zoom webinar platform.
