Job Opening: Registered Dietitian

CMAP Healthy Lifestyle Program

CMAP Express is looking for a qualified, experienced Registered Dietitian to promote healthy eating habits and recommend nutrition and lifestyle/exercise modifications for Healthy Lifestyle Program clients in the nine-parish area served by The Rapides Foundation and CMAP. The qualified candidate must have knowledge of the principles and practices of dietetics and nutrition, and the relationship between sound nutrition, diet and physical exercise.

The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, in an accredited dietetics program and current license/registration with the Commission for Dietetic Registration (CDR). An active dietetics license in Louisiana is also required. Knowledge/background/certification in physical fitness/personal training is preferred. Three to five years dietetic experience is necessary, as well as strong skills in the following areas: team building, organization, time management, communication, and interpersonal relations. The qualified candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and be willing to cover the nine-parish service area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing individual and group nutrition and exercise counseling to clients; supporting, motivating, and educating clients on healthy eating habits and exercise; serving as a resource for educating clients on the benefits of, and how to face the challenges of, maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
