Staff members attend national nutrition conference

Representatives from The Rapides Foundation attended the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior’s 2012 Annual Conference, which highlighted innovative nutrition and behavior research, and new consumer-focused education materials.

The conference, which had the theme “Energy from Synergy,” was held July 14-16 in Washington, DC.
Attending from The Rapides Foundation were Annette Beuchler, director of programs and communications; Trayce Snow, program officer; and Kira Guidry, coordinator of the Foundation’s Healthy Lifestyle program.

“Our efforts toward a healthier Cenla were validated at this conference,” Beuchler said. “We were able to bring home new ideas, but also to share The Rapides Foundation’s successes with health organizations across the nation.”

Snow added, “People from across the country came together to discuss partnerships, ideas, and innovations – all in the name of a healthier nation. Getting healthy is the new normal.”
