Event set for Wednesday, April 22, at The Health Enrichment Center
OAKDALE – Residents are invited to a free luncheon to learn practical tips for improving their health in everyday life.
The event is part of Healthy Living Conversations, a series hosted by CMAP’s Healthy Lifestyle Program, and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at The Health Enrichment Center, 713 E. 7th Ave., Oakdale.
During the session, Registered Dietitian Pamela Jones, coordinator of The Healthy Lifestyle Program, will share ways to put the new Dietary Guidelines into practice. Exercise Specialist Garrett Boone will discuss how physical activity can improve sleep and overall well-being.
Healthy Living Conversations are designed to provide easy-to-understand, practical tips that participants can use in their daily lives, while also introducing them to the resources available through the Healthy Lifestyle Program.
The Healthy Lifestyle Program is funded by The Rapides Foundation through its Healthy Behaviors Initiative. The program is administered by CMAP, an affiliate of the Foundation.
A healthy lunch will be served. The event is free, but registration is requested.
