Job Opening: Program Officer
The Rapides Foundation Programs Department
The Rapides Foundation seeks a full-time Program Officer. The Program Officer position is a key Foundation professional and reports to the Director of Programs.
The position responsibilities include development and administration of programs that encompass population-based health promotion and disease prevention strategies. Specific areas of responsibility include program implementation and support, grants management, issue development, and assessment and research. The position may assist with healthcare access programs as needed. A complete job description can be downloaded in the Documents section below.
The position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree with a master's degree preferred. Areas of interest and expertise should reflect health and well-being issues including but not limited to disease prevention, health promotion and public and community health. Qualified candidates will have at least five years of experience developing, implementing or evaluating evidence-based programs to increase healthy behaviors in various settings. Knowledge and expertise in the management and operations of community health clinics would be useful but is not required. Grant management experience is preferred but not required.
