Job Opening: Patient Assistance Program Specialist

CMAP seeks PAP Specialist in Natchitoches Parish

CMAP is looking for a Patient Assistance Program (PAP) Specialist for Natchitoches Parish to meet one-on-one with clients of the Cenla Medication Access Program (CMAP) with the goal of ensuring appropriate medication access and education. The PAP Specialist will work closely with rural clinics and primary care practices in the nine-parish area served by The Rapides Foundation and CMAP to provide patients' prescriptions.

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma plus six months of medical office or health-related work experience. Although it is not required, a licensed Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred. The PAP Specialist should be proficient with MS Office Suite, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are extremely important. The qualified candidate must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to all satellite locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: meeting one-on-one with clients to address their specific needs and establishing objectives for each; traveling throughout the nine-parish service area for patient recruitment, community outreach and/or physician in-services; and participating in community health awareness events.
