Looking for some tricks and treats to improve your health?

Use the October Challenge Calendar

Join The Rapides Foundation Get Healthy Cenla Challenge, a daily challenge designed to encourage people to improve their nutrition and physical activity. Our goal is for everyone to eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day and to get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day, five days a week. 

Download and print the October 2017 Challenge Calendar to get started today. Since football season is in full swing, the October calendar features a Weekend Football Challenge. During every game you watch, complete the challenge exercises like walking in place during commercials or doing a particular exercise for each touchdown or field goal. The calendar also features many different nutrition tips to help you meet your health goals. For a delicious - and nutritious - game time snack, try this recipe for veggie nachos for everyone to enjoy!

The challenges on our calendar are prepared by trained staff in our CMAP Healthy Lifestyle Program. They are designed to be simple and realistic. If you find the challenges too easy, try doubling the amounts. If they are too hard, don't worry. Do what you can and have fun!
