The Rapides Foundation is encouraging everyone to “Make a Healthy Holiday Habit!” this holiday season. Three “Get Healthy with Santa” events will be held in December. Participants can meet Santa and taste healthy versions of holiday favorites.
Seventeen Central Louisiana professionals graduated Nov. 2 from Cenla Boardbuilders, a Community Development Works program that trains emerging leaders to become active in their communities as members of nonprofit boards. Community Development Works is funded by The Rapides Foundation.
The Cenla Medication Access Program’s cancer screening van will visit Pollock on Nov. 27-28 to offer Grant Parish residents colorectal, breast and cervical cancers screenings.
The Rapides Foundation is presenting the 2011 Annual Report two ways to appeal to a wider audience. “In addition to our traditional print version, our online element allows us to tell our story using videos, photos and graphics,” President and CEO Joe Rosier said.
Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, has posted its fall schedule of nonprofit training for Central Louisiana residents. Onsite workshops are held at The Rapides Foundation Building, 1101 Fourth St., Alexandria. Webinars are offered from 11 a.m.-noon and can be completed from any computer. All workshops and webinars are free of charge.
