The Rapides Foundation is accepting Letter of Intent submissions for its May 15 grant cycle. These grants are intended to support projects or programs that address specific issues of interest to the Foundation. Proposals should impact residents within Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon and Winn parishes.
The Rapides Foundation plans to transfer ownership of a building at 1751 Jackson St., Alexandria, to a nonprofit agency offering a competitive proposal to put the property to use with a well-defined program showing sustainable community benefit. This building formerly housed the MRI Center.
