The Cenla Medication Access Program’s cancer screening van will visit Alexandria on March 6-7 to offer Rapides Parish residents colorectal, breast and cervical cancers screenings. The van will be parked at 5604 Coliseum Boulevard from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, and from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7. Services include free clinical breast exams, mammograms, Pap smears, pelvic exams and take-home colorectal cancer kits. Appointments are required.
Thirty-seven high schools from nine Central Louisiana parishes are entered in The Rapides Foundation’s 2012 Video Challenge.
Community Development Works, a program of The Rapides Foundation, has posted its spring schedule of nonprofit management training for Cenla residents. In addition to onsite workshops, CDW has added webinar trainings this year. All workshops and webinars are free of charge. Webinars can be completed from your home or office computer. Onsite workshops will be held at The Rapides Foundation Building, 1101 Fourth St., Alexandria. Registration for workshops or webinars can be done online.
