| Community Development Works (CDW) Staff

 | Akeshia Singleton, MBA Ms. Singleton is a Program Officer for the Foundation. She is responsible for programmatic oversight of Community Development Works and serves as the Foundation’s programmatic representative to the community. She holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business Management and Marketing from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. She also holds an undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami. Prior to joining the Foundation, Akeshia served as Client Services Manager for Greater New Orleans Nonprofit Knowledge Works (formerly the Center for Nonprofit Resources and the Greater New Orleans Community Data Center.) She has over ten years experience in client services and program management in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. She has been a member of the National Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the World Affairs Council of New Orleans, and a participant in the African-American Leadership Initiative in New Orleans. |  | Patricia Aymond Starling Mrs. Starling is the Community Engagement Coordinator for Community Development Works. She is primarily responsible for oversight of the CDW outreach efforts, including implementation of the Board Builders program. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in Marketing from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and has over 13 years of experience in marketing, recruiting and public relations in the Central Louisiana area. Most recently, she held the position of Community Developer for Health Systems Development Cenla, a program aimed at improving access to healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured.
|  | Felicia Walker Felicia Walker is the Learning Lab Coordinator of Community Development Works. Felicia is responsible for maintenance of the Learning Lab collection which houses a nonprofit and community development reference library with more than 500 holdings, including the Foundation Center Cooperating Collection. She serves as a “ready reference” on a variety of nonprofit and community development topics to CDW callers and Learning Lab customers. Ms. Walker holds an undergraduate degree from Grambling State University in Accounting and has previously worked in the Avoyelles Parish School System and the Rapides Parish Library System. |
