The Foundation staff are available to present information on the Foundation's programs and the health status of Central Louisiana to nonprofit groups, clubs and civic associations.
Cenla Advantage Partnership (CAP) is a private regional nonprofit economic development organization that is being led and funded by the private sector. Investor interest has been strong and The Rapides Foundation is committed to matching these investments for up to $1.5 million over three years.
CAP has reached a major funding goal and has moved ahead with forming the organization's Board. A majority of the Board are financial investors in CAP. In September 2003 the Foundation hosted a morning session to present the findings from the four month community economic development assessment process and to announce the Foundation's funding interests with respect to the recommendations. The Foundation's challenge called for the development of a new private sector-led economic development group, Cenla Advantage Partnership (CAP) with substantial private sector financial involvement at a $1 for $1 match level.
