The Rapides Foundation plans to transfer ownership of a building at 1751 Jackson St., Alexandria, to a nonprofit agency offering a competitive proposal to put the property to use with a well-defined program showing sustainable community benefit. This building formerly housed the MRI Center.

An Open House at the location is scheduled from 2-3:30 p.m. on April 19 and April 20. Please call Pat LaCour at (318) 443-3394 to confirm attendance.

The 4,800-square-foot facility is approximately 20 years old. The Request for Proposal package, floor plan and other information will be available at the open house. The deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. Monday, May 9. A decision on the competitive proposals will be made on or about June 1 with a property transfer to occur shortly thereafter.
