The Rapides Foundation is a philanthropic organization that develops Initiatives and provides grants to organizations throughout a nine-parish service area that share the Foundation’s mission to improve the health status of Central Louisiana.

Established in 1994 as the result of a joint venture between Rapides Regional Medical Center and Columbia/HCA, The Rapides Foundation became the largest endowed charitable foundation in Louisiana with initial assets of almost $150 million. Current assets are over $230 million.
